Great Sandy Desert

The Great Sandy Desert is located in the north of Western Australia. It's latitude is  29°30'S and the  longitude is 126°30'E. It is also the second largest desert in Australia. The land covers over 300,000  km2.

The unique aspect for this destination is the climate.The Climate is classified as arid tropical. The Great Sandy Desert  climate is very unusual . The climate is very dry however this desert actually receives an surprising amount of rainfall usually in the south.The average rainfall each year is 250mm.  In summer the temperature would be 38°C to 42°C  or sometimes even hotter. It really depends, if you go south the temperature seems to get hotter. In winter it reaches 25 to 30°C which is better then in summer. However int the night is can get vey cold sometimes it would be freezing and maybe on rare ocassions there would be frosts.
